PowerPoint Slide Size Calculator
See the real dimensions of 16:9 and 4:3 in inches, centimetres and pixels. Widescreen is 13.333 x 7.5 inches.
Built for the moment a deck needs a slide size set by hand. It shows the real dimensions of PowerPoint's presets in three units, and works out the remaining side for any target ratio. No file is uploaded. Everything is calculated on this screen.
Converting to pixels needs a density. The default of 96 is a widely used convention, not a figure Microsoft's documentation states. For print, try 150 or 300.

What PowerPoint accepts
A custom slide size runs from 1 inch (2.54 centimetres) to 56 inches (142.24 centimetres). Those are the figures in Microsoft's own documentation, and anything outside that range gets the range back instead of a result.

13.333 inches and 33.867 centimetres do not quite match
Microsoft's documentation gives widescreen as 13.333 inches and also as 33.867 centimetres. Multiply 13.333 by 2.54 and you get 33.866. The real size is 13 and one third inches, and the dialog rounds it to three decimals. This page calculates with the true value and shows Microsoft's written figures separately.
